The immediate effects of Adipex overdose can be fatal to bodily functions and may result in the nausea, vomiting, rapid breathing, tremors, and changes in blood pressures. With time the effectives of Adipex starts to wane and people start its overdose to get the desired effect. But this in turn results in severe fatigue as well as one may suffer from its side effects.
Adipex is widely sold as a weight loss medication but only on prescription. The effects of overdose are very dangerous may show its after effects based on an individual’s food habits, dependence on alcoholic beverages, addiction to certain drugs etc.
It is highly recommended that one seek immediate medical assistance in case of Adipex overdose. Since it is a stimulant the overdose can lead to symptoms of shakiness, confusion, panic, rapid breathing, violent behavior, irregular heart beats, restlessness, hypertension or hypotension, seizures, nausea and vomiting and in certain cases coma or death can also occur. After the initial stimulatory reaction, people often develop acute weariness.
The treatment of Adipex overdose is very critical and can vary from person to person. If the overdose has been a recent one the treatment involves insertion of a tube inside the stomach to pump out the stomach of its toxicity. Even medicines can be administered to remove the toxicity of stomach. Adipex overdose is known to cause lot of side effects so the treatment also involves medications for bringing the heart beat to normal by regulating the blood pressure.
The prescription is to be followed strictly to avoid the chance of Adipex overdose as most cases involving overdose are the ones where the person involved has undertaken a without prescription medication and hence is completely unaware of their recommended dosages. The prescription for any person is calculated based on the person’s body mass index, which is a measure of a person’s actual height and weight and is key to their needs and requirements.
One may not be aware that combining any other weight loss medication with Adepix intake can be a dangerous proposition. The combination of Adepix (phentermine) and with fenfluramine (FEN-PHEN) can lead to serious heart problems. Fenfluramine has been since long not manufactured.
A doctor may recommend the dose of 30 mg once daily before consumption of breakfast Evening doses are strictly to be avoided as phentermine is known for inducing insomnia. Adepix is known for its similar behavior to amphetamine and may contribute to some of the exchanges related with amphetamines. Interaction of phentermine with tricyclic antidepressants or monoamine oxidase inhibitors such as tranylcypromine may lead to increase in blood pressure and other severe response due to of elevation in serotonin levels in the blood.
The administration of Adipex is filled with lot of complexities during pregnancy has not been adequately evaluated. So it is not recommended for expecting mothers. Even nursing mothers those are breast-feeding their infant babies should avoid the medication, as there is chance of phentermine being excreted in breast milk. It is important to undertake all proper investigation before any diet pill intake to avoid the instances of overdose side effects.
Overdose effects from taking too much Phentermine or any similar amphetamine based diet pill can be anything between short and long term. There have been a range of situations as well including everything from fatal to short term but highly problematic symptoms. All of which includes everything between heart attack, stroke, diabetes, extremes with high or low blood pressure, nightmares, tremors and so much more.
Other symptoms can often be “shrugged off” by the user as being nothing more than a nuisance but in reality the symptom(s) can be a sign for a bigger problem behind the curtains. For instance, chest pains may seem somewhat mild but they can quickly turn into a deadly cardiac situation in less than half a minute, which most people don’t know!
These symptoms may sound “typical” to a habitual diet pill abuser but medically speaking these effects are caused from overdosing yourself on the amphetamine based pills, which will certainly affect even a healthy person’s bodily functions negatively. Combining Phentermine with anything else could have you experiencing harmful overdose effects at a dangerous level, which is yet another reason a doctor should be monitoring the situation.
Purchasing these kinds of drugs illegally is one of the most dangerous things anyone wanting to lose weight with diet pills could ever do to themselves. Essentially, when someone purchases these kinds of diet pills illegally they will most likely use the internet in order to obtain such substances. It is more often than not that these purchases will come without instructions, which will leave the buyer to either assume on their own or find out through other means.
Either way it goes, both of those solutions will end in nothing but problems because the user wasn’t correctly informed about everything they should have been told about such as dosage, how long to continue taking the drugs, when to take them and the warnings that go along with them. In the end you are only putting yourself at a much higher risk by self medicating whether you are doing so to avoid having to get a doctor’s approval or you simply can’t afford to be seen by a doctor.
I started taking this medication on June 10th, 2009, so far I have lost 19 lbs. I started a low carb diet. I am contributing all of this to my weight loss. I started taking 1 pill a day for a week and then decreased to 1/2 pill in the morning and 1/2 midday. Sometimes I skip the midday dose or take 1/2 late in the day. Taking 1/2 a pill helps with the dry mouth!! I think this drug is a great boost but I definetely know that I will have to make a lifetime change in order to maintain the weight loss!! Good luck to everyone!!

Out of the few side effects I’ve ever seen from personally using Adipex, I have never had to deal with any overdosing and certainly none of the effects that overdosing can have on the body. I made sure to do my research, and not just a little I may add, because I wanted to be absolutely sure that this drug was right for me and my needs. I am not skinny and I never was to begin with so in all honesty I didn’t have too many expectations in terms of wanting some super skinny model body because I knew with my frame it just wasn’t going to happen.
I needed something to help me with my overeating but it just seems like my stomach was empty all the time and so I just kept eating and eating. I even tried just changing what foods I was eating instead of the quantity of them but of course that didn’t cut it either. I looked up a lot of diet pills but with Adipex the worst side effects had to do with addiction and overdose because it was possible to take too much of the drug.
So, after consulting with my doctor about what he knew I was convinced enough to try it and it definitely paid off, quite quickly in fact! I made sure to follow the directions perfectly so that there was no risk of overdose and started seeing my fat just disappear, side effect free in no time at all!
